Brass Nails (Round)
These are terrific. I have been in boat building for 40 years and I have never seen these before. They are ideal for the marine environment in a situation where you don't want to use a screw and the fastening will remain visible. The shank is about 1/8" diameter and the head is 3/8". These are not modern mass produced in any way in fact I am not sure how old they are. I would guess at least 80 years. The four sided points are not cut in or machined, they are swaged or cast, it does seem that no two nails are absolutely identical (part of the attraction). It would be consistent with the source of these nails that they would have been used in high class yachts built between the wars.
You will probably not find another source for these anywhere in the world.
